Berry Chia jam is an easy and delicious alternative to store-bought jam. This jam uses no sugar and you get the added benefits of chia seeds which include fiber, protein, and healthy fats.

Ingredients

– Fresh or frozen berries – Chia seeds – Orange juice – Maple syrup

Mash the fruit with a potato masher, a fork or the back of a spatula. You can make this as smooth or chunky as you’d like.

Stir in the chia seeds and orange juice. Taste the jam and then decide if you want to add sweetener.

The jam will thicken as it cools. Once it has cooled, transfer it into an airtight jar and store it in the fridge.

This jam is wonderful served over oats, a toast, cereal, crackers and even smoothies. Enjoy!
