Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh or frozen berries of your choice
  • 2 Tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 Tbsp orange juice
  • 1 Tbsp maple syrup

Instructions

  • Place berries in a bowl and microwave for 5 minutes.
  • Mash the fruit with a potato masher, a fork or the back of a spatula. You can make this as smooth or chunky as you’d like. It all depends on how you like your jam.
  • Stir in the chia seeds and orange juice. Taste the jam and then decide if you want to add sweetener. Start with one tablespoon, if desired, and adjust from there.
  • The jam will thicken as it cools. Once it has cooled, transfer into an airtight jar and store in the fridge for 1-3 weeks or up to three months in the freezer.
  • It makes about 1.5 cups
